I'm outside of the area shown on your map - would you still be interested in taking care of my garden?

There's no simple answer to this - the best thing to do is e-mail us and ask!

Why isn't your telephone number listed on this website?

Honestly? Because I get quite enough sales calls as it is - unscrupulous companies trawl websites to get phone numbers. If you would prefer to ask questions over the telephone then please e-mail me for the number.

Are you insured for any damage caused to my garden?

Garden Goddess will take the risk of £1,000,000 public liability insurance associated with the work carried out by Garden Goddess. Garden Goddess staff will be covered for personal injury insurance and all vehicles utilised by Garden Goddess will be insured appropriately. Should the project to be undertaken require in excess of this insurance, the client will be liable to ensure appropriate cover is achieved. Whilst a project is underway, the client will ensure that all persons, animals (pets/domestic) and vehicles are excluded from the project area. The client will accept full responsibility, damages – direct or otherwise, and/or costs to repair any damage accidental or otherwise to the project site or Garden Goddess equipment that has not been caused by Garden Goddess employee or outsourced supplier. The client will be responsible and pay for any costs or damages for any accidental damage to persons or property not complying with the exclusion zone of the project. Do you undertake tree surgery?

No, but I have an excellent tree surgeon whom I would be more than happy to recommend. Please ring Simon of Anther Tree Services on 01923 252 490 or 07951 043 023 if you would like to discuss any possible tree work or arrange a quotation.

Do you garden organically?

Only if you specify that you would like your garden to be taken care of in an organic way. Otherwise, we carry out our work in an environmentally aware, and wildlife-friendly, manner - but we would not class ourselves as 'organic'.

Why not?

On the whole, we don't follow organic methods because we believe that it's possible to care for a garden, treating pests and diseases, using more 'traditional' methods whilst still providing a safe environment for local wildlife. When roses under our care are suffering from powdery mildew, or aphids, we would prefer to use a chemical treatment which will treat the problems quickly and effectively - we could use organic methods, but as these usually take longer to have an effect, we would rather put the plants out of their suffering sooner rather than later! We always take care to ensure that any chemical treatments are applied at appropriate times, to best avoid harming any beneficial insects (such as bees).
